Quick assembly: Lightweight components are easy to cut on-site, and the screw-fastened or clip-on connections eliminate wet trades, shortening schedules.

Dimensional stability: Galvanized coating resists moisture warping, keeping ceilings and partition lines true over time.

Service integration: Open-web sections allow ducts, conduit and piping to pass through without extra notching, saving headroom.

Fire & acoustic upgrades: When paired with mineral wool and multiple layers of fire-rated board, 60–120 min fire resistance and 45–55 dB sound reduction are readily achieved.

Finishing Compatibility

Gypsum plasterboard, fibre-cement board, calcium-silicate board, magnesium-oxide board, plywood, MDF, decorative metal panels, stretch-fabric membranes.

Corrosion & Coating Options

  • Standard: Z120–Z275 g/m² hot-dip zinc (G40–G90).

  • Enhanced: Zn-Al-Mg alloy coating (150–200 g/m²) for coastal or high-humidity zones.

  • Optional colour-coated polyester or PVDF top coat for exposed grid applications.

Sustainability Credentials

  • 100 % recyclable steel; typical recycled content 25–30 %.

  • Factory roll-forming generates <2 % scrap, all of which is re-melted.

  • Light weight reduces transport energy and structural load, allowing smaller concrete/steel primary frames.

Design Codes & Testing

  • EN 14195:2005 (EU), ASTM C645 & C754 (US), GB/T 11981-2020 (CN).

  • Load-span tables verified by third-party tests for 1/240 deflection limit at 1.5 × design load.

  • Seismic tested per ICC-ES AC 261, suitable for S_DS up to 2.0 g.

Packing & Logistics

  • Bundled in 3 000 mm lengths (custom 2 400–6 000 mm), 10-piece shrink-wrapped packs, 50–60 bundles per pallet.

  • One 40 ft HC container loads ≈ 25 t (≈ 22 km of UC50 stud), enough for 4 000–5 000 m² of partition.

Installation Tips

1. Maintain 300–400 mm end-bearing on tracks; use acoustic isolating pads where partitions meet structural slabs.

2. Stagger board joints on opposite sides by ≥ 600 mm; leave 3 mm perimeter gap filled with acoustic sealant.

3. For heavy fixtures (basins, TVs), back-to-back double studs or timber noggins should be pre-installed before boarding.

Future Trends

  • Prefabricated “cassettes” with factory-fixed boards and pre-routed service holes cut site labour by 30 %.

  • 3-D roll-forming machines now produce variable-depth studs (deeper at mid-span) to save 8–12 % steel weight.

  • BIM-embedded libraries allow direct export of cut lists and CNC roll-forming files, reducing detailing errors to near zero.
